What Black Library Explorer is
Black Library Explorer (BLE) is a hand-curated bibliographic database, reference tool, and lore resource for publications set in the Warhammer 40,000 and Horus Heresy universes. It connects stories, editions, contributors, series, shelves, and editorial reading orders so readers can understand how material relates across different releases.
MRKW independently operates the project and is responsible for its editorial decisions. BLE is intended for readers, collectors, librarians, researchers, and other fans who need a navigable view of Black Library publications.
Scope and ownership
BLE currently focuses on Warhammer 40,000 and Horus Heresy publications. A record appearing on the site does not imply that BLE owns the underlying work, cover art, setting, characters, publisher metadata, or trademarks.
The original site code, interface, database compilation, and editorial writing are project work. Third-party material remains the property of its respective rights holder. See the legal policy for the approved ownership and reuse statement.
Unofficial status
Black Library Explorer is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, approved by, or endorsed by Games Workshop or Black Library. Product and company names are used only to identify the works and settings the project documents.
Editorial commitments
BLE publishes its methodology, explains its source priorities, and provides a correction process. These policies describe how the project works today and identify current limitations; they are not a claim that every record is complete or error-free.
